Could Chloe Bennett, or any former SHIELD actors appear in Secret Invasion or Secret Wars?

I don’t know. I don’t have an answer. I’m not an insider just a speculator and if I was, I’m sure I’d be beholden to some NDA that prevented me from saying anything. But since I can speculate and use logic and common sense and all the things Papa Stan Lee granted me, I would have to say yeah, why not. Or at least, I really hope so.

It’s been almost two years since Agents of SHIELD ended. I remember it well not only because it was the end of an era but it was the first thing I watched after hearing that a close friend had passed. I was devastated and found comfort in my favorite show bidding its final farewell.

Even to this day that time is a blur and I honestly don’t even know why I mention it. Maybe it’s because it’s coming up again. Maybe it’s because AoS always held a special place in my heart like my friend did. We never shared Marvel together but we did share a love for writing and filmmaking and she was integral into pushing me toward trying to make writing a career as opposed to just another hobby.

Agent of SHIELD was such a phenomenal show and it still not only sucks that it got cancelled but that it was pretty much ignored by Marvel Studios for most of it even though the Season 1 Hydra tie into Captain America: Winter Soldier (S1 E17 – “Turn, Turn, Turn”) was one of the most epic moments in TV history. During that time AoS was one of the best shows to watch alongside Walking Dead, Breaking Bad & Game of Thrones and one of the last shows before the streaming boom that made people gather in front of a television at a certain time.

Yet as the show went on the division between Marvel TV & Marvel Studios got wider and wider until by the end, MCU features were barely being mentioned on the show. It was disappointing because the tie-ins were what initially drove fans to the show. What kept them there was the writing, the team of filmmakers and most especially the cast that fans came to fall in love with.

Though SHIELD has been replaced by SWORD and Damage Control, I can see our favorite SHIELD team get back in the game with a Disney+ reboot or even a part of the new organizations that have been introduced in Phase 4. Quake can high a leadership position for SWORD or Damage Control and eventually break off to bring SHIELD back. Fans would also love to see the return of Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson even as we saw his character come to actual, actual end in the finale. It could be a Reverse Bucky Factor +1, which is everyone stays dead except Bucky and Phil Coulson.

As of now, only Ming-Na Wen has been able to sustain a consistent life after SHIELD. She’s appeared in major franchises like The Mandalorian which spawned her own series in the Book of Boba Fett. Chloe Bennett has appeared in a few indie films and even was part of a live action Power Puff girls series that never made it to air. As for Clark Gregg, whose appeared in a few cameos here and there, is now set to star in the Netflix vehicle, Florida Man. For the most part the rest of the cast has remained out of the main spotlight but that can change as Marvel expands the cinematic universe even more and the search for reliable veterans to intertwine between properties becomes needed.

The only problem is that the MCU is moving so fast they might not have time to fit them in. According to Feige they are already 5 properties into Phase 5. If they haven’t been put into anything already, they’ll have to start being thought of soon. We know fans can have a huge impact on Marvel especially when there is a strong online response, so if fans want the show back the best thing to do is make a ton of noise online. If Disney sees there is a fan base to target, they will. Disney+ needs much more content to keep people on the app instead of going to use others and they have yet to tap into the Fox library aside from Fox X-men. The jury is still out if they will use the rest any time soon, especially while Marvel cab bring in most of their base.
